LAR-KEN, INC., manufactures engineered precast concrete products. Our septic tanks are approved by the State of Idaho, Dept. of Environmental Quality and by Oregon D.E.Q. We make special concrete tanks for extended treatment systems--the BioMicrobic ® Fast® systems and the Orenco Systems® AdvanTex® Treatment System. We manufacture concrete sand/oil interceptors and varied sizes of catch basins for storm, wastewater, irrigation or electrical applications. We make grease interceptors for restaurants or carwashes and for flammable liquids containment. Our designs meet requirements for Uniform Plumbing Code, Idaho Standards for Public Works, ACHD Supplemental, the City of Boise, and other municipalities in our area. We also manufacture 48-inch diameter manholes-- bases, risers, and eccentric cones. We build custom concrete products; for example, irrigation boxes, wing walls, box culverts, small bridges or small precast buildings.
We assemble components in our tanks for on-site pump systems and lift stations and we also retail a large number of quality wastewater related products–Goulds Pumps, Orenco® Systems products, & Zabel products, Hancor/ADS pipe, Polylok™ and Tuf-Tite® polyethylene products, Infiltrator™, ADS Arc 36™ and Storm Tec™ gravelless domes, geotextiles-including catch basin inserts (witches hats), and most common pipe and fittings for the wastewater industry. We strive to “Buy Idaho™” and “Buy America.”
We batch our own SCC concrete using a 6.7-bag mix of Portland cement, quality washed sand, aggregates, fibers, and Grace water-reducing/plasticiser additives. Our compression strengths exceed standard specifications. We use rebar and Nycon fibers to assure strength in our quality products. Our Q.C. follows NPCA guidelines and our products are poured within twenty minutes after mix. We reclaim all of our wash water and endeavor to reclaim, recycle and reuse other aggregates and recyclables.
We deliver our products to southwest and central Idaho and eastern Oregon. Delivery includes setting in most instances. Our products have even been shipped to Hawaii!
